Part 1
Some people go on pilgrimages others well they go to off to conquer Europe! Here’s Part 1 of Darryl Pillay awesome journey through the continent…from London with cornflakes to the party central of Greece and then well that’s all in Part 2!
Stop 1: London
Started in London, Wembley Stadiums for the Foo Fighters concert ended up eating cornflakes as a snack after was quite something else, many funny stories to be had in London.
Next Stop: Amsterdam
Amazing, incredible, everything that you have ever heard of was true. Great place to visit, but definitely a tourist trap.
Stop 3: Hamburg
Richest city in Germany, and they know it.Great city, with so much to offer. This is where I found it incredibly difficult to do laundry with the instructions being in German. Hamburg is just so chilled out.

Who is Marc Mazery: After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting, Marc headed off to the UK where he worked and travelled. Now Marc is back! Well back from the working world that is and he is travelling the globe. Marc has managed to make his way to Cambodia however he made a few pit stops on the way. We tracked him down and got the story of his travels thus far…
Singapore: Awesome city! So easy to get around, the people are friendly but the city is rather expensive but worth the pay. Max stay needed is 2-3 nights. Watched the football world Cup final and listened to some wannabe heavy metal band...Singapore people like their rock music. Malaysia: Feels completely different compared to Singapore. The roads are excellent and busses are comfortable. The Perhentian Islands are the “business”. No one hassles you. Diving and snorkelling is excellent. Definitely worth getting to!! Great place to know.

Michael Murphy is an adventurous Kiwi who has traveled the world extensively. From New Zealand to South Africa to Europe, you name a place and Mike has been there…here is his take on the world!
Denmark If you found some European countries to be expensive then keep away from Denmark. Due to their strong currency, you can end up paying a lot more than you would have wanted to. However, Denmark is a great country for seeing some thing a little different. I spent most of my time in Copenhagen, and it’s a great city for tourists with many things to see and do. Also there’s no problem with the languages if you are an English speaker, as almost every one speaks very good English, some thing that is integrated into the school system.
If you go to Copenhagen, you have to eat an icecream; they are huge and taste great! – Its also one thing that Copenhagen is famous for. Copenhagen also has a brewery, the Danish monarchy is based there, and it has a rich history as a port; all of which is great to explore as a tourist.
Czech Republic
During my time in the Czech Republic I spent most of it in Prague. But how I got there was a adventure in itself. Of course, there are many different ways and countries to travel into Prague. I came to Prague from Germany by train. Most people who do this trip take the quick and expensive German trains that go straight there.

Just because they call it a “non profit organization” doesn’t mean that you
can’t make a decent living working for a charity during a gap year. There are
many benefits for working at a charity. Don’t assume you’ll be out on the street
selling raffle tickets, you’ll probably be able to work in a normal office with
a desk and a computer!
